Games Of September 2008
Daniel Mitchell | August 25, 2008
Is it that time again already? What? It’s been that time more than once over the past couple of months? Whatever. Shut Up.
September is going to be another best month of the year, so you’d better secure lots of overtime at work, or you’re going to have to sacrifice eating on Tuesdays. There are that many great games coming out, I’m sorry but it’s true. I’m going to have to do it… again. That’s correct. This month gets another (much coveted) GoY Seal Of Approval™.
June is going to be one of the best months of gaming this year. There, I said it. I know I said it before for April (Month of GTA4) but June really is amazing. So amazing, in fact, that it receives the GameOnYou UK seal of approval! There are so many good games coming out this month, including a number of big names. Follow us as we explore why June is going to be a gamer’s paradise…
Well, If anybody’s reading this (read: those who don’t have a copy of GTA4) it appears that May is our calm after the storm, with little in the name of jaw-dropping titles to be released. That is not to say that there aren’t any good games though, oh no, there are quite a few games to look out for this month. As the list may feel a little sterile we’re going to add something new into the mix. This month we’re going to not only deliver you our definitive list of games to look forward to but also an list of games to avoid. Here goes nothing…
While this may not be breaking news (or even news to some people) many have probably not heard that Square-Enix have announced a European-only pre-order special edition of their highly anticipated Prequel Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core which includes a “Super Hard Mode” and a hardback artwork book which features 48 pages of character-designy goodness by Final Fantasy artist Tetsuya Nomura.
March has seen quite a few high-quality releases, with a few more to come before the end of the month. Because of this, you may think that the number of releases may slow down for April. If you think this, you are wrong and should be shot. If you think that there is only one game worth picking up coming out this month then you should also be shot. Not as much as those who think there are no games, but shot nonetheless. The number of released this month may be short but the quality means that April is most definitely a sweet month for gaming this year. There isn’t just one game coming out this month, but there is a game. A highly anticipated game. A game which, if it were released any other time than now would be game of the year, nay, century. Read on as we reveal the cracking line up for April.
