Epic are still working hard to make sure their fans have absolutely no complaints by placing a code in every copy of the game that will give you the Throwback map pack for free.

The map pack is a collection of the top 5 favourite maps from Gear of War, which have been enhanced to adapt to the new features and game modes. Epic have also said that they have no plans to release these maps in any other way, so if you’re planning on renting or buying a pre-owned copy, you’re out of luck.

In addition to these maps, Epic are releasing a gold plated Hammerburst for in-game use, but it is only available to gamers that participate in the “Midnight Madness” events. Unfortunately, up to now these events are only being held in Gamestop stores in the US, bad news for us Brits.

We still get our golden lancers with the limited edition though, and the golden variations have no combat bonuses other than making you look like a pimp.
